Description

Catacombe di San Sebastiano (Catacombs of St. Sebastian) are considered the oldest catacombs of Rome and the type site for the name 'ad catacumbas'. It was later named after St. Sebastian, one of the martyrs who were buried here. According to legend the Apostles Saints Peter and Paul were also buried and venerated there.
