Description

The Alfina Cave Hotel Cappadocia is one hotel of a hotel chain, the only one in Cappadokia and the only cave hotel of the chain. Built like a three-storey terraced house in front of the tufa cliff, it first does not look like a cave hotel. But most of the room with a front and a terrace has a cave at the rear end. It has 26 standard rooms, 5 deluxe and 10 suites. All rooms have central heating, air conditioning is not necessary as the rock keeps the room temperature pleasant throughout the summer.

The restaurant with 80 seats is built with hand hewn local rocks in the front end, and cut into the rock at the far end. Huge arches with round pillars support the roof in a typical Turkish style. The restaurant serves traditional local and international cuisine.

It seems the hotel was lately renovated and is now listed as Avantgarde Refined Caves Of Cappadocia. It was modernised and rebranded as a luxury/design hotel. It seems it belongs now to the small Turkish hotel chain Avantgarde Collection, which has three hotels in Istanbul, one in Yalıkavak at the Aegean coast, and this hotel here. For some reason the old name and website still exist, so we decided to simply list both.
