Description

Rokle Veľký Kyseľ (Gorge of the Big Kyseľ) is the part of the Kyseľ river gorge which is formed by the Veľký Kyseľ tributary. It is devolped with wooden elevated trails and ladders and has several waterfalls, namely Pawlasov vodopád, Vodopád ochrancov prírody, and Vodopád u Bariéry (Barricade Waterfall). The gorge was closed after a large fire in the Slovak Paradise in 1976, but was reopened in 1997. The trail is very narrow, so passage through the gorge is allowed only in the upward direction against the stream. As a result it is necessary to walk down Malý Kyseľ or start at Kláštorisko from where a trail into the gorge starts.
