History

Description

Grottan vid Rövarmon (Cave at Rövarmon) is located halfway up the hill opposite the Skylltorp farm. There is a possibility to park at the side of the road near the blockhouse. Two small neotectonic caves can be found between the boulders. According to local lore they were used as hideout by robbers and outlaws.

Once a maid was captured by robbers. She lived a long time with them at the cave, but one day she managed to escape. The only thing she took with her was a pea bag which had a hole. When the girl finally reached the nearest farm she was so exhausted that she died. But with the help of the peas she had lost on her way, they managed to track down the robbers and arrest them.
