History

JUN-2018 Cave Escape opened to the public.

Description

When you arrive at Cave Escape vou will be welcomed into the 19th century Gentlemen's Lounge. One of the team then takes you to the briefing area. Then you descent below street level, to your chosen room. Once inside your room the clock starts, teams have one hour to work together to solve the room's puzzles and conquer the cryptic tasks that lie ahead of them.

Actually nothing special, just an escape room like so many, which were opened in the last decade. But this one is special: it is located underground inside one of the many caves of Nottingham. This one was once used as a World War II air raid shelter, we guess thats one of the reasons why this is possible. Underground venues always have problems with the lack of fire excapes or something similar. In this case the cellar was equipped with additional entrances when it was utilized as an air raid shelter.

Cave Escape has two rooms. Carfax is Victorian England, where you join Professor Abraham Van Helsing in hunting Count Dracula. Monuments is at the end of World War II, and you help the Monuments Men to retrieve art stolen by the Nazis.
