Description

Pivnice Pegas Jakubská (Pub Pegas Jakubská) is a pub and restaurant with a microbrewery located under a hotel in the city center of Brno. The brewery is called Pegas, named after the flying horse Pegasus, and Jakubská is the name of the road where it is located. The restaurant and pub were built into the multilevel cellars below the building, some with flat ceilling supported by massive wooden beams, some with a stone vault. There are bigger and smaller rooms, connected by doors, short passages and numerous staircases. The furniture and decoration is rustic-style.

The bar offers the beer of the own microbrewery on tap, there is pale, dark and filtered lager, also wheat. On the fifth tap special beers in limited quantities alternate, like Weizenbock, Roggenbier, Amber Ale, Porter, IPA and others.

The small brewery has a second pub, also in the city Brno, but in a northern suburb in Jiráskova road. This one is also located in the basement, but it's a normal basement lacking the historical aspect. Nevertheless, they sell the same good beer and local food.
