鹿鳴森谷旅遊度假區 (Lumingsen Valley Tourist Resort) is a tourist resort in a side valley 1.4 km from Jincheng Jian river. Surrounded by karst towers full of caves, one of the features of the park is a karst cave. They do not publish a name, simply call it Karst Cave. Sometimes the name 珍珠岩溶洞 or 珍珠巖溶洞 (Zhēnzhū yán róngdòng, Perlite Cave) pops up. Perlite is actually an amorphous volcanic glass that has a relatively high water content. It is typically formed by the hydration of obsidian. In other words, there is no perlite in this area. We guess they chose the name because of transparent calcite speleothems in the cave. And we have no ides why there are two different Chinese names, both translate identical.
The cave is—like all caves in the south china karst—quite spectacular. It has a huge cave portal in the middle of a limestone cliff. In front of the cave is a spectacular gorge.
Like the new scenic areas, this is a theme park with a karst cave as one of the rides. The cave is at least as colourful as other, more famous caves in the area. They even have animated dots and blinking glitter. It's almost impossible to avoid vomiting, bring puke bag.
