Description

百鳥岩洞 (Bǎi niǎo yándòng, Hundred Bird Rock Cave) is named after the rock face around the cave entrance, which is often full of birds. This is a river cave formed by the one kilometer long underground course of the Panyang River. The 50 m wide and 15 m high cave portal is the resurgence of the river. The cave is visited by boats, which float to the cave entrance of the resurgence from the nearby quay at Jinbian. The cave has a natural skylight, for some time during the day the sun shines in, and the cave glows in a deep green colour. The passage is between 40 m and 10 m wide.
