Elliott Underground Quarry is the only underground limestone quarry in Lawrence County, Indiana, which is known as the Limestone Capital Of The World. Limestone from the Bedford area was used in many famous buildings, like he new Yankee Stadium, the Empire State Building, and the Pentagon. It is durable, fire resistant, and environmentally friendly. The rock is quarried until today, Elliott Underground Quarry is operated by the Elliott Stone Company, which is run by Dave and Judy Elliott.
