Description

ปราสาทหินพันยอด (Prasat Hin Pun Yod) is a stone forest, a place with extraordinary karren forming pinnacles. It is located at the northern tip of the small island Khao Yai, which is actually a submerged karst tower. The whole island shows stone forests, karren, caves and other karst features. There is a small natural bridge namedn Half Heart Cave, because it has two vaults which lool like the upper half of a heart while the lower half is submerged by the sea. The island is reached on boat trip from the nearby harbours, but to visit the most spectacular spot you have to mount a kayak. Paddling alon the norther tip of the island there are narrow cracks leading into a huge pothole or doline with sea water on the bottom. The walls are stone forest all around.
