Description

The Múzeum baníctva a hutníctva Maša (Museum of Mining and Metallurgy) is located in two historical buildings named Vážnica and Klopačka. In the Klopačka is a gallery of selected reproductions of old mining woodcuts from the work of Gregorius Agricola De re metallica libri XII. The book is contemporary for the mining of the Liptov region and show many mining techniques used here. In the Vážnice is an exposition of the history of mining and metallurgy in Liptov. It exhibits the clothes of a miner, a collection of mining lamps and working tools.
