History

Description

The karst spring Врело Грзе or Vrelo Grze (Grza Spring) is the end of an underground river. The water of this resurgence is from the swallow hole Brezovica, which is located 10,750 m away and at an altitude of 840 m asl, which is 430 m higher.

Grza Spring is one of the largest karst springs in Serbia. It is located near the town Paracin in Central Serbia. In the last 15 years maintenance of Grza has been completely neglected. A hostel for mountaineers, and the track to the spring are in very bad shape. Intensified unplanned building of summer cottages ruins the environment and illegal tree cutting intensifies erosion.

There are trails for mountain bikes, a School of medical plants, and a picnic area.
