History

Description

Xplor is a sort of caves utilized as a adventure rafting site. The caves are crossed by 4x4, on a raft and swimming. The whole trip should be made with appropritae clothes, which includes swimsuit, shorts and a helmet. It starts with a 5 km long ride in a small amphibious vehicle through the jungle, across suspension bridges, and through fords and mud. Finally a cave is crossed in the car, in a sort of sunken lane in the cavern floor. To us this seems to be the most stupid "fun activity" of this site. A little better are the zip lines high above the trees, where people hang on a steel rope and glide from one tower to another. Beneath the thrill of hanging in the air there is a rather pleasant, somewhat dull, view.

The more interesting activities are the one kilometre long raft tour through the cave, and the 500 m long cave swim. The Underground Rafts tour is made on plastic rafts, which are formed like they were made of bamboo. Participants row with their own hands, so they can at least spend as much time as they want. Even more tranquil is the Stalactite River tour which is actually a 500m long underground swim through 25 °C warm water.
