Cenote Xcanahaltun is also known as Cenote Ka'ana Jaltun, and is one of these cave chambers with stalactites and some holes in the ceiling. So actually it is a cave chamber with a blue underground lake, and there is a wooden jetty for those who want to go swimming. A rusty spiral staircase leads down into the cave chamber. It is off the beaten track, and very few tourists know about the site. The site is family run and slightly more expensive than other cenotes in the area, but its worth every peso.
