Cenote Palomitas is actually a rather unknown cenote, the reason is that it is off the beaten track, far from popular tourists routes. It is visited mostly by locals. That’s actually quite good, because the spectacular cave is rarely crowded and so you can enjoy the spectacular speleothems. This cenote is of the type underground cave chamber with openings in the ceiling and speleothems. The natural light is not sufficient, so there is electric light.
There are actually two different cenotes only 350 m apart, and its quite unclear if they are operated by the same or different operators, at least there seems to be a combo ticket for visiting both. The other one is called Cenote Agua Dulce.
