Description

Cenote Azul, (Blue Cenote) obviously named after the blue colour of the water, is one of the biggest cenotes with a diameter of 185 m and a depth of 80 m. Obviously the big tepth is the reason for the deep blue colour. On the other side it looks like a normal lake as there are nor signs of a cave above the water level. But it is connected to the laguna of Bacalar by a cave. The place is popular for bathing, snorkling and diving.
