History

Description

The Binġemma underground city, located between the Our Lady of Itria Chapel and the Victoria Lines in the Binġemma valley are a mystery. Scientists are at a loss what they are and how old they are. They are definitely much older than the chapel and the Medieval walls. But if they are cave dwellings, storage caves, hideouts or tombs is unclear. Probably they are different kinds of caves, probably they are of different age. Nevertheless, this place is worth a visit, explore the cave with a torch, enjoy the view.
