History

Description

Huel Lee is the Lëtzebuergesch name, in German it is called Hohllay. Hohllay has two parts, hohl means hollow and lay is a medieval term for rock, so it means Hollow Rock. There are numerous ancient millstone quarries in this area, which were operated since Roman times. This quarry looks like a huge cave with several entrances.
