The main branch of 고수동굴 (Gosudong-gul, Gosu Cave) is 1,200 meters long. It features a variety of spectacular speleothems: stalactites, stalagmites, columns, cave coral, cave pearls, cave shields, draperies, and aragonite crystals. The main chamber has a series of majestic 10 m long stalactites. The Lion Rock is said to be the guardian of the cave. Quite spectacular is a really high spiral staircase in one shaft of the cave.
This cave is quite popular, sometimes even crowded. Nearby Cheondong Cave is much less visited, but of comparable beauty, so you could check this cave out instead.
