Description

質志鐘乳洞 (Shizushi shonyudo, Shizushi Stalactite Cave) or 質志洞 (Shizushi do) is the only limestone cave in Kyoto Prefecture. The cave is a vertical cave, 25 m deep, which is developed by steep iron stairs and ladders. The stairs and ladders are actually more interesting than the cave, the steeper parts are enclosed in a sort of cage of stainless steel bars.
