Description

Goa Barat (Wind Cave) is a so-called blowhole, the cave air emerging from the cave entrance even makes a loud sound sometimes. It is also a river cave and is visited on cave trekking tours. The cave is quite spacious and the entrance section has electric light, so they offer short tours which only include some wading in knee-deep water. The longer tours go to the unlit parts and include walking through chest deep water, probably some swimming.

The guides are located right at the entrance. Visitors are provided with any necessary equipment, including gum boots, overalls, helmets, headlamps and life vests. The equipment depends on the tour. The long tour is called Superman's Big Sister Waterfall, which is 32 m high and teh tour takes 5 h and is 6 km walk. The cave is also called the Cave with 100 Waterfalls. To see the whole cave would take three days, but as far as we know such tours are not offered.
