Description

Baradla-barlang Vörös-tó lejárat (Baradla Cave Red Lake Entrance) was named after the Red Lake, which is actually an intermittent lake, which is a doline most of the year. After the cave was officially opened in 1935 there was a through tour from Aggtelek to this artificial entrance. As far as we know this tour was discontinued, it may be booked by groups after appointment though. The tour which is now offered starts at the new Visitor Center at the car park and is a rather long tour with 2.3 km length, which is the reason why it is called Vörös-tói középtúra (Red Lake Middle Tour). It ends at the Jósvafő exit, and a shuttle service wil bring drivers back to their car.
