History

Description

The rather new show cave Cuevas SaMucuy is part of the lodge Villa Ecológica Río Sachichá, which offers a bunch of outdoor activities, including swimming and tubing in the river. The river emerges from a cave and the cave was developed with trails and electric light, and may be visited by guests of the lodge or park on self-guided tours. Its part of the lodge and there are two partly artificial pools in the cave entrance for swimming. The cave river forms a waterfall below the resurgence. The cave behind has trails, but do not expect that they are suitable for everyone. Actually the cave requires climbing and the trails are more or less like an easy via ferrata.
