Description

Hôtel insolite Rocaminori (Unusual Hotel in Rocaminori) or sometimes Rocaminori Troglo Hôtel (Rocaminori Cave Hotel), is as the name says a hotel which rents former cave houses. Located in the village Rochmenier, which has numerous underground quarries and cave houses, it is located at the site Les Caves de la Genevraie. It also has a restaurant which is named Restaurant Les Caves de la Genevraie. It seems the hotel on the other hand was named after the village, the French name was just a little "latinized". As always with such cave hotels, the caves are originally quarries, later transformed into houses, so each hotel room was the home of a family in the 19th century. In other words, they all differ completely in size and shape, probably have a somewhat unusual floor plan, and, in order to preserve their authenticity, the furniture is also rather old.
