The Fontaine de Roches is a small karst spring named after the nearby village Roches-les-Blamont. It is located right above the village. The water flowing downhill looses a lot of the limestone it contains right on the first meters. The result is a typical escarpment of tufa, limestone accumulated by the karst water. The growing rock forms cascades like the Cacsade de Roche, overgrown with green algae and moss.
