Description

The Centro de Interpretación de la minería en Extremadura (Mining Interpretation Centre in Extremadura) is a museum dedicated to the mining history of the region. The center gives an overview of mining in Spain, and specifically in Extremadura. The museum is located in the headframe building of the Mina Abundancia (Abundance Mine). A part of the machinery is still visible, the rooms are used for a mining exhibition and art projects. There is no underground tour, the mine is not accessible.
