Description
Coves de Can Riera (Caves of Can Riera) located near the village Torrelles de Llobregat are small but quite exceptional. They are located in red sandstone and arkose, and even conglomerates with a red matrix. Such rocks are not karstified, the caves are a result of mechanical erosion. They are rather small and have red sand on the ground. There are actually three caves, two upper caves and one lower cave.
