Description

狄水东 (Di Shui Dong, Water Dripping Cave) is only three kilometers away from the former residence of Mao Zedong. That's probably the reason, why the cave was "rebuilt" after it had been destroyed. The natural cave was drowned when the reservoir was built. Later an artificial cave was built, which became then known as Di Shui Cave, and was equipped with an air-raid shelter. One side of the cave contains military installations for example a command system.
