History

1970	property purchased and church founded, first resident minster was Rev Barry Rainsford.
1973	church completed and first services.
1977	large dugout for the church completed.
1983	underground Church Hall known locally as Daniels Den excavated.

Description

The Catacomb Church is the Anglican Church of Coober Pedy. There were two uncompleted dugouts which were purchased by the church in 1977 and extended during the following years. First resident minster was Rev Barry Rainsford. Today the Catacomb Church complex is completely underground.
