Description

The Ka Bri Ki Synrang (Garden Of Caves) is a park with numerous trails, suspension bridges, and platforms. It is also called Mawdngong Park. There are numerous natural formations which are the main features of the park. Most are just strange rock formations, but there are also small caves, shelters, natural bridges and erosional waterfall caves. At the centre of the park is the Mawodohnud (Heart-Shaped-Rock), which is actually a sort of dolly tub or glacier mill which looks like a heart shaped hole in tghe ground with water inside. Palong Syiem (King's Cave) was named after a tribal chief ("king") which once slept in this cave. Cava passages in the park are equipped with electric light, nevertheless a torch is a good idea. During Monsoon the rivers grow substatially, and the waterfalls are quite spectacular, but the water also has a lot of sediments and looks quite muddy. A trail runs behind the biggest waterfall through the erosional cave behind the fall, which is a quite popular spot for pictures.
