Every show cave, mine or subterranea on this site has a short list of hard facts called Useful Information. With a contemporary browser it will be displayed like this text, with smaller font and darkgreen letters on white background.
In the Useful Information block you find information in a very brief form, which makes some explanation necessary.
It is very difficult to write dates, fees and hours in a well readable manner, so we always tried to find a sort of "international" way of writing it, which should be understood by anybody. But if you do not understand it, here is the explanation:

Taking pictures or videos on show cave or show mine tours is often restricted. If we do not give anything here this means we do not know, it does not mean there are no restrictions. Possible regulations are:

Photography means in this context for private use and non-commercial purposes only. In other words if you are allowed to take pictures for your own use, for your private photo album. This is often restricted for two reasons. First flashlights and excessive photography may disturb the tour, especially the other guests. Photographers tend to disturb the flow or even destroy formations while they are focussed on their task. And second, there is always the fear that someone takes pictures to sell them later. Often personal websites are considered publications and therefore commercial use. With cameras in smartphones these regulations are actually an anachronism, the tide is beyond stem. A detailed discussion of this topic can be found in the Humour section, see link below.

Any tourist site on Earth actually restricts commercial photography, in general a permission is needed, in other words a contract. And there is often a fee for the photography/filming and another for the later use of the media. We do not list this kind of information, please contact the respective site directly.
