Nagorno-Karabakh is a region in Azerbaijan with a high number of Armenian inhabitants, and after the collapse of the Soviet Union they started a separatist war which was ended two years later with a cease fire. The war erupted again in 2020, but this time it took only a few months. Nevertheless, it is not a tourist destination and the continuous fights and terrorist attacks even dampened tourism in Azerbaijan. We have only one cave listed, and that's actually an archaeological excavation. All in all we would suggest skipping a visit until the situation is safe.
