Agder is a quite young fylke or county at the southern tip of Norway, which was formed in 2020 by merging Vest-Agder and Aust-Agder counties. We had separate pages for both, but with rather few sights, so we decided to merge the pages.
Agder is located at the southern tip of Norway, towards the Skagerrak, where the Gulf Stream touches the coast of Agder. It is rather warm and called the Norwegian Riviera, at least the western part. Along the coast there are several towns and cities like Kristiansand and Arendal. The central upland is dominated by moors, which are used for pasturing of cattle and sheep. The northern portion is mountainous and sparsely settled.
This fylke has some mining history and a total of four show mines.
