Cenote Ik Kil is a perfectly round, well-type cenote with a diameter of 60 m and a depth of 48 m. It is an open shaft, the water level is 26 m below the surface. A steep artificial tunnel with a stone staircase leads visitors down to the water. The surroundings are tropical rainforest, and plants and roots grow into the cenote. Quite spectacular are the long roots which have grown down more than 26 m to reach the water. They form a sort of curtain.
This cenote is well developed, with car park, restaurant, bar, and hotel. It is located west of X-Calakoop on highway 180.
