Zlín Region


Zlínský kraj (Zlín Region) is named after its capital Zlín. It is located in the south-eastern part of the historical region of Mähren (Moravia), at the border to Slovakia (Trenčín and Žilina Regions). The character is very diverse, flat fertile areas, hilly, and in the northern part the Moravian-Silesian Beskids and the Maple Mountains in the east. The southeastern border towards Slowakia is formed by the Bílé Karpaty, the White Carpathians.
