Salta Province

Salta is located in the northwest of the country in a geologically active region, and suffers from occasional earthquakes. It is underdeveloped, but it is home to a number of natural, social and historic attractions. It has three national parks, El Rey National Park in the Yungas jungle, Baritú National Park and Los Cardones National Park.
