This is a special kind of calcite crystal. They are extraordinary big, having the shape and size of a dogtooth.
They are formed in standing water. Here the crystals can grow undisturbed for a very, very long time.
Normally this crystals cover the walls. Sometimes there is a horizontal border were they end, a former water level.
