Chernihiv Oblast


Chernihiv Oblast is also called Чернігівщина (Chernihivshchyna). The oblast is located in northern Ukraine and borders Belarus's Gomel Region in the north-west and the Russian Bryansk Oblast in the north-east. The administrative center and the biggest city is homonymous Chernihiv.
