Western Visayas

Kabisay-an Nakatundan - Kanlurang Kabisayaan or Kanlurang Visayas

Western Visayas is an administrative region in the Philippines. It seems such regions have little cultural background, they are mostly for administrative purposes and often just numbered, this is Region VI. The region is dominated by the native speakers of four Visayan languages. It seems the Philippines are continually restructured since 2000, Western Visayas lost Negros Occidental and Bacolod to the newly formed Negros Island Region in 2015. In 2017 with the next change they returned to Western Visayas.
