Bhutan

The Kingdom of Bhutan is a small landlocked country in South Asia, between India and China. Bhutan's landscape ranges from subtropical plains in the south to the sub-alpine Himalayan heights in the north. While much of the mountain ridges is composed of crystalline rocks, there are several small areas with limestone and gypsum. But caves are rare because of the rapid uplift of the Himalayas, there was no time for caves to form. Only two karst caves have been documented in the country so far, the longer one is Ghost Cave, 200 m long and a vertical range of 35 m.

Many small caves and abris are famous for being meditation caves of various buddhist gurus. They are either erosional caves or tectonic caves, most or them are very small.
