History

Description

The entrance section to Diu Diu Cave is a little difficult. After climbing down into the cave river, you will have to wade through water and mud with a ceiling which is sometimes only 80 cm high. This tour involves a lot of contact with mud and guano. The reward is a wealth of cave live like eels, prawns, spiders, and bats.

This cave is not developed, and a little difficult to visit. It is part of an ecotourism trip of Milne Bay Tourism. The half day trip takes three hours and includes an escorted vehicle ride, trekking and the cave trekking tour. Medium physical fitness, rubber boots, old clothes, and clothes to change are recommended.
