Chiba-ken - Chiba Prefecture

Chiba Prefecture is located in the middle of Honshu island, the biggest island of Japan. It borders Tokyo and is densely populated, though not as densely a Tokyo. But at the same time most of the coast of Chiba Prefecture is protected as two quasi-national parks and one prefectural natural park under the national park system of Japan. 6 % of the total land area of the prefecture is designated as Natural Parks [2012].

A funny fact, which is not cave related is that the book Neuromancer by William Gibson is set in Chiba City.
