Imereti Mkhare


Imereti is the most populous region in Georgia. The agricultural region, known for its mulberries and grapes, has also manganese and coal mining, and metals production. The hill country along the middle and upper reaches of the Rioni River has much limestone which is karstified. Most show caves of the country are located here.
