| 1960's | used as a Military Hospital druring the war. |
Hospital Cave is, as the name suggests, a natural cave, which was used as a hospital during the war. Such things are common in many countries, in this case it is rather young, as the respective war was the American/Vietnam War and this hospital was used by the Viet Cong army. The huge cave was equipped with buildings and the floor was flattened with Chinese aid. Typical for their lack on good equipment are the circumstances under which the doctors worked here. The lights were man powered by soldiers riding on special bicycles to provide electricity.
The cave tours are guided by a former army general, who shares patriotic songs and war anecdotes with the visitors.
