| 1780 | area discovered by white settlers. |
X Cave was named after the profile of the passages, which resembles an X. This kind of profiles is also called keyhole profile. During the creation of the passage by an subterranean river, the changing amount of water produced a changing width of the river bed. First the bed was wider, then water supply changed and it became more narrow and then again wider.
Highlight of this cave are numerous calcite formations.
