Description

The main chamber of Talking Rocks Cavern is more than 30m high and 180m long, a winding passage filled with numerous speleothems. One extraordinary 30m high pilar is called Powells Column after the explorer of the cave Truman Powell. He tried to mine marble at the cave, but instead he mined the guano. A few years later, the Powell family opened the cave, which was called Fairy Cave at this time, to the public.
