Description

This cave house was built by Albert and Gladys Christensen. During 12 years Albert Christensen excavated 1,500m³ of sandstone for this house. At the same time he made the paining Sermon on the Mount and a sculpture of Franklin D. Roosevelt above his home on the cliff face. When Albert died, the home was not complete, so Gladys continued to develop the home and gift shop.

Today the house is a gift shop, trading post and diner-in-a-cave, and can be visited during the open hours. The current owner, Albert Christensens stepson, makes guided tours through the cave house.
