Rolla Experimental Mine is not a mine. It is a layer of limestone which was used by the University of Missouri-Rolla mining department to give their students parctical mining experience. This means they created a mine to learn mining techniques, not to mine limestone. Nevertheless the mine shows current mining technology at work, probably better than a historic mine or a working mine could do.
