The village Phattalung is dubbed Phu Khao Ok Thalu (Town of the Hollow Hill), which is just a description of the most outstanding feature of the village. When approaching Phattalung, the visitor is able to see the hill Khao Ok Thalu (250m asl) from far. Stairs lead up to the summit where visitors can get a panoramic view of the province. The specialty of this hill is a huge hole at the top which allows people to see through.
