History


1937		discovered, as the entrance collapsed because of a flood.
1971		developed, electric light and paths, opened to the public.

Description

Kostanjevica Jama is a rather new discovery in Slovenia, where most caves are known and open to the public for centuries. A flood opened the cave entrance. Several decades later it was developed and opened to the public.
